  1. Black and white images perpetuate a feeling of nostalgia. I think that what makes these Kodachrome images so special is that the same time period, in black and white, feels different. The iconic b&w pictures from the Farm Security Administration feel distant from our lives today. It’s almost like we could never regress or touch that time period again, because it looks so unlike what the modern world is experiencing. I didn’t feel this way when viewing the same time in color. Although the style of clothes was different it is not that far off, not that unreasonable. The burdens of the people of the time are still felt today, and we could always deal with similar issues.
